Quiet hours
Holding reminders back so nobody hears from you at eleven at night.
Automatic messages fire when their moment arrives, and some of those moments arrive at inconvenient times. A reminder set to go out twenty-four hours before a 7am job goes out at 7am the day before, which is fine. The same reminder on a 6am job goes out at 6am, which is less fine.
Quiet hours stop that.
Setting them
Under Settings, then Notifications, open Quiet hours and set a start, an end and a time zone.
What happens
Reminders due during quiet hours are held, not dropped. They go out as soon as quiet hours end.
So a message that would have landed at 5:40am with quiet hours running until 7 arrives at 7 instead. The customer still gets it, and still gets it in time, but they get it awake.
What is not held
Quiet hours apply to reminders. Messages that respond to something happening right then, such as a booking confirmation the moment somebody books, are not what quiet hours are for: if a customer books at midnight they expect the confirmation at midnight.
Turning them off
Clear the times and quiet hours stop applying.
What is next
That is messaging covered. Next: Your account.
