Business hours and availability
Set the hours you work, and the one-off exceptions for holidays and odd days.
Your business hours are the foundation everything else sits on. They decide which slots customers are offered on your booking page, and they keep your own schedule honest.
You will find them in Settings, in the Business hours block.
Weekly hours
Set the hours you work for each day of the week. A day can be closed, or open with one or more time ranges, which is how you handle a lunch break or a split shift: open 8 to 12, then 1 to 5.
These hours are the outer limit of what customers can book. Nothing on your public page will be offered outside them.
Date overrides
Real years have public holidays, half days, and the Friday you close early for a wedding. Date overrides handle those without you having to change your weekly pattern and remember to change it back.
Add an override for either a single day or a date range, then choose:
- Closed all day, for holidays and shutdowns.
- Open with different hours, for the days you are around but not on your usual pattern.
Overrides beat the weekly hours for the dates they cover, and expire on their own once the date passes.
Tip: Put your Christmas shutdown in as one date range in November. It is the single highest-value five minutes in this whole app.
What else shapes your availability
Business hours are the outer boundary, but they are not the only thing deciding whether a given slot is offered:
- Existing bookings block the time they occupy.
- Travel time between jobs is accounted for on mobile work, so you are never offered a slot you could not physically reach.
- Service duration decides how much room a booking needs.
- Resources matter when a service needs a particular person, room or machine, and that one is already busy.
- Territories decide whether you cover the customer's address at all.
The result is that the times your customers see are times you can genuinely work, rather than a grid of everything theoretically open.
