Bookables.

Your numbers, your format.

Choose how your proposals, jobs and invoices are numbered, confirm it once, and every document from then on follows it.

Every business has its own way of numbering paperwork, and most bookkeepers have an opinion about it. Now you set yours.

  • A format for each kind of document. Proposals, jobs and invoices each get their own prefix, starting number and padding, so EST-1006, BK-1028 and INV-0001 can happily exist side by side.
  • See the next one before you commit. As you type, Bookables shows you exactly what the next reference will read, padding and all, rather than making you picture it.
  • Set once, then left alone. Numbering is confirmed in a single step that spells out the three references you are locking in. After that the row stays visible but read only, because changing a prefix later would quietly split one run of numbers into two while the old ones stay printed on your customers' invoices.
  • Real invoice numbers at last. An invoice now mints a number of its own instead of borrowing the job reference.
